A new diterpene from the fungal mycelia of Hericium erinaceus

ABSTRACT: One new diterpene (1) and new compound (2), along with four known compounds (3-6) were isolated from the fungal mycelia of Hericium erinaceus by the tracking method of antibacterial activity. The structures of compounds (1-6) were elucidated on the basis of spectral data. Compound (3) showed strong antibacterial activity against Helicobacter pylori (ATCC43504) and compounds (1), (2) and (4) showed moderate antibacterial activity. Compound (1) exhibited good cytotoxicity against three human cancer cell lines.
